Hoover Dam Hard Hat Tour
THIS TOUR IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE
Tour includes the Guided Tour plus other
behind the scenes activity. See the internal workings of the Hoover
Dam Powerhouse requiring tourists to wear hard hats. The generator shaft
gallery (left), needle valve house and the
inspection tunnels (right) inside the dam along with other "behind the
scenes" areas will be explored. Hydroelectric generators generating
133,000 kilowatts will also be observed. Comfortable shoes are recommended
on this 1.5 mile walk. Tour time is approximately one hour.
NOTE: The Hard Hat Tour should NOT be taken by anyone who suffers from claustrophobia or those with a pacemaker or defibrillators. The tour will be in confined spaces and around generators emitting electromagnetic frequencies.
