Remote - Relaxing - Quiet
See the quiet side of the Grand Canyon at the north rim. This remote area of the canyon offers a quiet, relaxing time. There will be time to explore the north rim. There will be some time to explore the area with a stop at the most popular spot, Bright Angel View Point. Here you can walk a 0.4 mile hike out to the end of the point where the views are spectacular. The trail is paved and a bit steep in some places. (For those not accustomed to hiking this may be a challenge at 8,100 feet.)
On the trip there will be a stop at Kanab, Utah where you will find shops that feature Indian and western wear. You will also have a chance to see Frontier Town know as "Little Hollywood" of western movies. The museum features preserved western movie sets of the past. You can stroll through these sets and appreciate the fabulous illusions the film makers brought to the silver screen.
